Part One: Facing My Demons
Drake lost everything the day Chloe walked away from him. Feeling angry and hurt by her abandonment, he dives deeper into his cocaine use. Each day becomes a struggle for him. After his band is picked up by a recording studio in Los Angeles, things go from bad to worse. What happens to a man who has lost everything he ever truly cared about?
Part Two: Learning to Love Again
When Drake showed up on Chloe’s doorstep, begging for forgiveness, she couldn’t turn him away. To Chloe, loving Drake is like breathing and she couldn’t bring herself to let him go again.
But what happens next? Follow Chloe and Drake as they learn to forgive and heal together.
Will Drake’s fame get in the way of their happily ever after? Or is love enough to keep them together?
The epic conclusion to Drake and Chloe’s story.
“Please, Chloe. I love you. I want to spend every second of my life with you from now until the day I die. I can’t live without you,” I pleaded.
This had gone so much better in my head. While I knew she would be angry, I had hoped that I wouldn’t have to resort to groveling to get her to take me back. If I had to though, I would. I would rather die than spend one more day without her.
“I don’t want to get hurt again, Drake,” she whispered. “I can’t take it.”
I grabbed her and pulled her into my arms. She struggled at first, but I held on tight, refusing to let her go.
“I will never hurt you again, Chloe. Never. Let me prove it to you.”
I pressed my lips to hers and kissed her like I was dying, like it was the last kiss we would ever share because it might just be our last. When I let her go, she might slap me and then never speak to me again. If she did, I wanted to remember the feel of her lips against mine for the rest of my life.
Despite what she’d said, her body responded to me instantly. She wrapped her arms around me and kissed me back, showing me just how much she still wanted me. I groaned as her lips parted, and I slipped my tongue inside her mouth, flicking my tongue ring against her tongue in a way that I knew drove her crazy.
J&M's Book Diaries rating:
J&M's review:
Tainted is the third installment to the Torn Series. The book is separated into three parts. The first part shows all that was happening with Drake after Chloe had left him on the bus in the second book Twisted. The life he was living and the demons he was facing within himself. Drake was suffering more than Chloe. A long with the heartache, his addiction and career began spiraling out of control. It wasn't until he overdosed that he realized he came so close in to losing every thing he had ever loved in his life. It was time to make it right.
The second part is on Chloe's POV. She is moving to California to be with Drake while he is recording his music album. Drake confesses to Chloe all his demons and they decide to take things slow this time around and to learn how to love and trust one another again.
The third part in the book fast-forwards 7 years into the future. Chloe is about to give birth to their baby and they finally have their happily-ever-after.
Although, we believe that it could have ended with book 2 it was great to have insight on what was going on with Drake during the months that he and Chloe were apart. It's always fun to see our hero & heroine married and starting a family as well. Book one and two gave us so much excitement, emotion, and drama. Tainted was a great conclusion to all that happens with Chloe and Drake. Always a great read! We enjoyed every situation and drama K.A. Robinson put us through. Oooh, and let's not forget how sexy the cover is. *drools*

What inspired you to write your first book and how long did it take you to complete it?
I've always liked to write. Torn just happened to be the first book that I finished. It took me around 2 months to finish it completely.
Who is your favorite character in this book?
I really can't chose just one. They're all my favorite in one way or another.
How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
A lot of the things that happen in my books are inspired by real life events of either myself or people I'm close to. But, the majority of my writing is fiction.
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Finishing it. As I get closer to the end of a book, I slow down because I'm not ready for it to end.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
With Tainted, yes. It focuses a lot on drug addiction. I want people to know that they're not alone. There are tons of people out there who are going through the exact same thing. Addiction isn't something to be ashamed of. Speak up and ask for the help you need and deserve.
If you can go back and change anything you have written what would it be & why?
I really don't think I would change anything with my books. With every book I write, I get better. I wouldn't change that growth for anything.
What books/authors have influenced your writing?
There are several. I've always been a huge reader and I think that with every book I read, it influences my life in one way or another.
If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Oh man, that's a tough one. I would probably have to say Tijan.
What are your current projects?
I'm currently working on Logan's story from the Torn Series and Forbidden, which is a standalone. I'm also getting ready to send Breaking Alexandria out for editing.
Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
The whole writing experience is a learning experience. There are so many aspects to writing. Most people don't realize (I know I didn't) that it's not just writing. It's writing, editing, editing some more, promoting, touring, doing signings.
Do you have any advice for other new writers?
If you have a passion for it, don't give up!
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
I want to thank you guys so much for supporting me. You mean the world to me.
